This involves tasks such as identifying needs, finding suppliers, negotiating terms, and finalizing contracts. The goal is to ensure the City gets the resources it needs to operate efficiently, considering factors like quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.

Bidding is a crucial component of procurement, allowing efficiency in sourcing goods and services while fostering fair competition among suppliers.

A Bid or Tender is the contractor's proposal to the City of Yorkton, specifying the cost and terms for completing a project and fixing any defects. Once accepted, it forms a formal agreement, outlining responsibilities for both the contractor and the City.
