We provide a safe, positive, energetic program and environment that incorporates sports, culture, arts, recreation, and leadership components for children and youth between the ages of 6 and 12. City of Yorkton Summer Program

The City of Yorkton has partnered with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (part of the Urban Highway Connector Program) for the reconstruction of York Road from Gladstone Avenue to Highway 9.Phases 1, 2, and 3 are now complete, and the roadway will be open from Highway 9 to Second Avenue North.Phase 4 is starting in the spring of 2024 (April 1st, 2024). This phase is expected to take approximately two and half months to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.Road closures along York Road are now from First Avenue North to Myrtel Avenue, with a detour in place on Second Avenue for local traffic and vehicles accessing businesses along York Road.Large equipment and traffic looking to access Highway 16 towards Saskatoon, can follow our <a class="fr-strong" href="https://www.yorkton.ca/en/news/resources/Construction_and_Major_City_Projects/Heavy%20Vehicle%20and%20Dangerous%20Goods%20Route.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Heavy Vehicle and Dangerous Goods Route Map</a>.<a class="fr-strong" href="https://yorkton.ic13.esolg.ca/en/news/resources/Construction_and_Major_City_Projects/York Road Reconstruction Project-TAP City Ads-Phase-4.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Phase 4 Local Access Road Closure and Detour Map</a><h2>Proposed Project Includes:</h2><ul><li>Complete road reconstruction in two phases including new road surface / structure and new curbing.</li><li>Drainage upgrades to the Victoria Avenue crossing, including ditch improvements, upgrading culverts, upgrading crossing under York Road (this was called &ldquo;North-Central Drainage Channel Upgrades&rdquo; in the Flood Mitigation Presentation to Council in January 2017).</li><li>Sanitary sewer upgrades (approximately 1,100 meters of new pipe).</li><li>Storm sewer upgrades (approximately 2,000 meters of new pipe).</li></ul>The estimated cost for this project is $16,800,000<h2>How to get engaged:</h2><ul><li>Post questions you may have on our Q&amp;A section.</li></ul>
