Your City, Your Say - 2023 Budget

Consultation has concluded

Each year City Council approves Yorkton's operating and capital budgets. These budgets represent the City's spending plan for the upcoming year. The services delivered are decided based on public feedback, input from administration, needs of the community, the City's strategic plans and Council priorities.

The operating budget provides the many services including: Fire, Police, Community Development, Parks and Recreation, Engineering, Planning & Development, Public Works, Landfill, Garbage and Waterworks. The capital budget provides for the replacing, maintaining and building of new assets and infrastructure in the City.

The City conducted a pre-budget survey from October 11 - November 6, 2022. Results of this survey helped inform Council and Administration what the community's spending priorities are. The City thanks all those who took the time to participate in our survey.

The draft 2023 Budget was presented to Council on January 30, 2023 and posted online for two weeks for a public review period. The public input received was then presented to Council at the February 14, 2023 meeting, where the 2023 Budget was officially approved. View the approved 2023 Budget now.
