Traffic Signal Upgrade at Myrtle and Broadway

Starting this Friday, the City of Yorkton will resume work on upgrading the traffic signals at the corner of Myrtle and Broadway. This project is part of our ongoing efforts to modernize the city's traffic management system to improve safety and efficiency for everyone.

What to Expect:

  • Schedule: The upgrade work will continue from Friday through Sunday.
  • Traffic Impact: There will be lane closures, and traffic will be reduced to a single line through the intersection.
  • Safety Measures: Signage will be clearly posted throughout the area to guide drivers safely around the construction zone.

Recommendations for Commuters:

  • Avoid Delays: Plan to use alternate routes during the construction period if possible.
  • Stay Informed: Follow along with traffic signal upgrade by receiving alerts by text, email, or phone call through the 𝐕𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩 for construction projects and road closures affecting you. Visit yorkton.ca/voyentalert to learn how to sign up.

We appreciate the community’s support and patience as we work to bring these enhancements to our city. This upgrade is crucial to maintaining Yorkton's growing infrastructure needs, ensuring a safer, more efficient travel experience for all.
