  • June Leisure Quest!

    Welcome to the City-Wide Leisure Quest, where fun meets adventure in celebration of Recreation and Parks Month! Follow the instructions below and get ready to explore Yorkton’s beautiful parks and spaces with your family!

    🗺️ How It Works:

    1. Find the Clues

      • There are 10 clues hidden in various City of Yorkton parks and facilities.

      • Each clue includes:

        • A letter that helps spell a mystery word.

        • The next location clue to continue your quest.

    2. Collect All 10 Letters

      • As you follow each clue, write down the letter you find at every stop.

    3. Submit to Win

      • Once you’ve figured out the word, go to our online form.

      • Enter your name, contact info, and the correct word for a chance to win a prize!

    🏆 Rules:

    • The Leisure Quest runs from June 1 to June 30, 2025.

    • Clues are located outdoors or in public-access areas of City parks and facilities – no need to enter restricted or staff-only areas.

    • One entry per person.

    • Entries must be submitted by June 30 at 11:59 p.m. to be eligible.

    • A prize draw will take place in early July. Winners will be contacted by email or phone.

    ✅ Tips for Success:

    • Bring a notebook or phone to keep track of your letters.

    • Clues are designed for all ages – make it a family adventure!

  • Park Parties

    Enjoy a family night out with entertainment, food and fun in the park. City of Yorkton Park Parties occur throughout the summer and at a different park each time.



    Join us for our June Park Party and kick off to summer!
    City Centre Park
    Thursday, June 26th
    from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    Food will be available for purchase

    Collaborating with Yorkton Business Improvement District, we will kick off summer coinciding with Downtown Culture Days (formerly June Days), celebrating the last day of school.

    July Park Party
    Weinmaster Park on Morrison Drive
    Thursday, July 31st
    from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    August Park Party
    Green Space behind the Parkland Mall
    Thursday, August 21st
    from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    In collaboration with Parkland Mall, we will host our park party event concluding with an outdoor movie.

    Park Party events occur weather permitting.

  • Access Communications Water Park

    Make the most of any weather this summer and join us for a variety of swimming programs at the Access Communications Water Park.

  • Deer Park Golf Course

    In operation since 1921, Deer Park Golf Course is situated on the western side of Yorkton, and has established itself as one of the province’s premier 18-hole championship golf courses. Spanning 6,347 yards, the layout features rolling, tree-lined fairways set in a picturesque environment that any golfer will appreciate.

    To complement the course, a new award winning, full-service clubhouse was opened in 2023. Included in the facility is The Owl’s Nest restaurant and bar with interior seating, a three-season covered deck, and open patio dining areas. A fully stocked Pro Shop with CPGA certified staff are also available and ready to meet every golfer’s needs.

  • Spray Parks

    Spray parks are a great way to cool off on a hot summer day!

    In order to conserve water, all spray parks are equipped with timers and easy to use push-button switches.
    Available from mid May to September, seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.


  • Outdoor Basketball Nets

    Basketball nets are located at outdoor rink locations across the City.

  • Catch and Release Trout Pond

    A fully stocked trout pond provides a natural ecosystem with educational opportunities.

    The trout pond is located in Logan Green


    A provincial license is not required, however hooks must be barbless and live bait is not allowed.

    A parking lot providing quick access to the fish pond is located off Queen street, adjacent to the Water Treatment Plant in Logan Green




  • Disc Golf

    Disc golf combines the fun of traditional golf with the ease of throwing a frisbee.
    It's suitable for all ages and skill levels, making it a great option for families, friends, or solo play.

    There are two disc golf courses that can be found at:
    Patrick Park
    Rodney Ridge


    Disc golf discs can be signed out at the Gallagher Centre - SecurTek Guest Services.


  • Tennis and Pickleball

    There are three tennis courts located at:
    Heritage Heights Park
    Knights of Columbus Park
    Western Development Museum


    Heritage Heights and Knights of Columbus Parks have lines for pickleball.

    Nets are in place for the summer season from May to September.
