December 27, 2023 - Heritage Heights

Work is underway at the outdoor rink at Heritage Heights Park:

  1. Rink boards were packed with snow to help prevent water from running out of the rink into the park.
  2. Inside the rink, the snow was back bladed to smooth out any uneven areas to prepare the base for spraying.
  3. Where there was bare asphalt, snow was brought in from the park area and placed to provide a base for the water to freeze into.
  4. Three spray applications were completed today.
  5. Weather permitting, work will continue to build the base layer to ready it for hose floods soon.
