Focus Group Applications Now Open

Public engagement for the Jaycee Beach Revitalization project is getting underway, and the City wants to hear from residents.

The City of Yorkton has hired Praxis Consulting Inc., a Saskatchewan-based management consulting and research firm, to lead the engagement process.

Residents can now apply to take part in a Jaycee Beach community focus group and share their priorities, questions and concerns as design work continues.

The two focus groups take place:

  • Wednesday, September 2 | 1–3 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 3 | 6–8 p.m.

Space is limited, and completing an application does not guarantee a place in a focus group. Praxis Consulting will contact selected participants with session details.

The focus groups are one part of the broader engagement process. Additional opportunities to provide input on Jaycee Beach will include:

  • One-on-one interviews with invited stakeholders;
  • A community survey; and
  • A public open house.

Details will be shared on this page as they are confirmed.

As part of the Jaycee Beach project, the current off-leash dog park will relocate to Logan Green Flats, just off Queen Street. The new location will provide more space than the current dog park, and the City is looking for feedback on how to improve the site and make it user-friendly.

Separate focus groups are available for current dog park users and residents in the area surrounding Logan Green Flats.
