Review Prairie Wild Consulting’s presentation for a high-level outline of the plan’s process, findings, and potential strategies.

What's next?
The 2024 Community Cultural Plan will act as a working document and framework to guide the community towards creating a place where everyone feels welcome and diversity is celebrated every day. A place where we work together, learn from each other, and celebrate our differences. While there are specific steps which were identified by the community, this plan is not solely to be executed by the municipality. Everyone can play a role. If you are interested in guiding the implementation of the Community Culture Plan, email parksandrec@yorkton.ca

At its core, this Cultural Plan is a collective effort that engages all relevant stakeholders. Stakeholders include: the City of Yorkton; Community members and Champions; Educational Institutions; Arts, Heritage and Cultural individual, Collectives and Organization; Funders, Business, and Capacity Builders; and other others of Government.

The City of Yorkton is updating and refreshing its 2009 Municipal Cultural Plan, creating the new and improved Community Cultural Plan 2.0. A lot has changed in our community over the 10 years and we need your input to make sure we create a Cultural Plan that is reflective of our community now and into the future! The updated Community Cultural Plan will include these changes and provide a clear path to improve, develop and sustain Yorkton’s quality of life.

The process of community cultural planning helps to identify what makes Yorkton unique and a good place to live, work and play.
