2026 Water and Sewer Main Replacement Program

The City of Yorkton will begin the 2026 Water/Sewer Main Replacement Program on May 17, 2026.

This year’s work will take place on Dalebrooke Drive, from Lakeview Road to Mountview Road, and will include replacement of aging underground water and sewer infrastructure.

This work is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to reduce service disruptions, replace aging infrastructure and support safe, reliable water and sewer services for residents.

Project timeline

Expected start date: May 17, 2026
Expected completion: September 30, 2026

Timelines are weather-dependent and may shift based on site conditions, construction progress and other factors.

Project details

The 2026 Water/Sewer Main Replacement Program includes:

  • Replacement of aging sewer main
  • Replacement of aging water main
  • New water and sewer service connections from the main to property lines
  • Manhole and valve upgrades
  • Stormwater improvements
  • SaskEnergy gas line improvements
  • Road reconstruction
  • New pavement, curb and sidewalk work

Once underground work is complete, the road surface will be reconstructed and paved.

Traffic and access

Traffic accommodation plans will be in place throughout the project.

Local access will be maintained where possible, but some short-term access disruptions may be required as work progresses. Please follow posted signs, use detour routes and watch for workers and equipment in the area.
