Affected residents will receive direct notice from the contractor before work begins in their area. The contractor will also coordinate with residents and collection providers for garbage, recycling and organics collection during construction.
Why is this work needed?
Water and sewer mains are critical infrastructure that support everyday life in Yorkton.
The infrastructure in this project area was identified as a priority based on the condition of the underground pipes, previous water main breaks and inspection findings. Replacing this infrastructure now helps reduce the risk of future breaks, service disruptions and more costly emergency repairs.
