How are locations chosen?
Concrete and paving locations are selected using a combination of condition assessments, infrastructure needs and coordination with other planned work.
For roads, the City uses pavement condition data to help identify streets most in need of repair. For sidewalks, the City considers sidewalk condition, trip hazards and opportunities to coordinate with road, water and sewer work where possible.
The 2026 paving program is planned to include approximately 16 street segments, with work focused on areas identified through the City’s pavement condition review. The concrete program is also being coordinated with paving plans to make the best use of available funding and reduce repeat disruptions where possible.
