Transit Live Ends, but Yorkton Transit Continues

Yorkton Transit is getting ready to move to a new on-demand transit system. As part of this change, Transit Live will stop operating on October 15, 2026.

This does not mean that Yorkton Transit service is ending.

Buses will continue to run on the current fixed routes until December 31, 2026.

From October 16 to December 31, riders can continue to:

  • Use their regular bus stops.
  • Follow the current bus routes.
  • Ride the bus at the regular scheduled times.

The only change on October 15 is that Transit Live will no longer be available.

What happens on January 1?

On January 1, 2027, Yorkton Transit will move from the current fixed-route system to the new on-demand service using Blaise Transit. The new system will combine conventional and accessible transit into one service.

The change from Transit Live is one of the steps in getting ready for the new service.

October 16 to December 31, 2026
Yorkton Transit continues to run its regular fixed routes, stops and schedules.

January 1, 2027
The new Blaise Transit on-demand service begins.
