Logan Green contains a variety of native and ornamental vegetation typical of prairie wetland and park environments. While the area is generally safe for pets to enjoy, owners should ensure their pets remain under control and do not consume plant material, as some naturally occurring species may be harmful if ingested. Vegetation and pet safety will be reviewed further as the design process continues.

The new dog park would need to be established before the existing park is removed. If the relocation is approved, it would be the first phase of the project, and the current dog park would remain open until the new location is operational and able to provide the minimum required functions for users.
