Help Plan Yorkton’s New Dog Park at Logan Green
The current off-leash dog park at Jaycee Beach will relocate to Logan Green Flats, just off Queen Street, and the City wants to hear from the people who use the dog park and residents in the surrounding area.
Relocating the dog park is part of the Jaycee Beach Revitalization project. The move will make room for the future swimming area and help protect water quality at Hopkins Lake.
The new location will provide more space than the current dog park, and the City is looking for feedback on how to improve the site and make it user-friendly.
The location has been decided, but there is still a lot we want to hear from the community about how the new space should work.
The City of Yorkton has hired Praxis Consulting Inc., a Saskatchewan-based management consulting and research firm, to lead two separate focus groups.
Dog Park User Focus Group
Current dog park users are invited to share what works well today, what could be improved and what they would like the City to consider at the new location. The focus group takes place Tuesday, September 1 | 6–8 p.m.

Logan Green Surrounding Area Focus Group
Residents in the area surrounding Logan Green Flats are invited to share their wants, needs and concerns as the new dog park is planned.
Discussion may include access, parking, noise, fencing, maintenance, amenities and other considerations that could affect the surrounding area.
The focus group takes place Wednesday, September 2 | 9–11 a.m.
Apply:

Space is limited, and completing an application does not guarantee a place in a focus group. Praxis Consulting will contact selected participants with session details. Applications close August 26.
A public open house will provide another opportunity to learn about the project and provide feedback. Details will be shared on this page as they are confirmed.

Beware of scams
If you are selected for a focus group, official communication will come from Praxis Consulting Inc. Praxis will never ask you for payment, banking information, passwords or other financial information.
If you are unsure whether a message about this engagement is legitimate, contact the City of Yorkton at communications@yorkton.ca before responding.
Thank you for your contribution!
